Benni's Boat Bar

Benni's Boat Bar was my Capstone passion project for my last semester of college to showcase everything I have learned over my time at UTDallas. This is the concept of a theoretical boat that would exist in a game I made up where you run a boat bar/restaurant. I put my heart into working on this my whole last semester and I am proud of the results that came from all the obstacles faced while making this project. One day I hope to continue this project into something larger!

This was a project done for my university course, where we were assigned to make any environment we wanted free of any limitations. I decided I wanted to have a realistic style for this piece, so I could learn how to use SpeedTree for the first time. Two other helpful tools I was able to practice for this project were shaders and Substance Designer. My texture from Substance Designer can be seen on the ground plane as well as the steps in the water. Overall, I am very pleased with how the project turned out!

Stylized Hidden Forest Path

This is the first environment I created in Unreal Engine 5 for my coursework. The goal was to make the art style similar to the style that is commonly seen in Blizzard games. This project took approximately six weeks so that I could learn the basics of the game engine. This project has been my favorite assignment to work on and has made me realize I want to pursue environmental and asset creation work.
